scott goss was born and raised in cleveland, ohio. in 2006 he graduated from the cleveland institute of art where he majored in glass with minors in metals and enameling. he currently is working at benchmark studios in midtown cleveland, ohio.

scott currently is working in glass and on various installation projects. his glass panel series explores the combination of glass, vitreous copper enamel and copper. the images are often collaged memories, combining images from childhood with current events. these memories are placed on the glass through different processes that range from engravings, ceramic decals, silkscreening and painting. by working on both surfaces of the glass he creates a relief that allows different memories to interact with eachother.

in his installation work, scott explores the interaction of art with and within the urban environment. his experience gained from working in an architectural office allows him to create installations that deal with issues directly related to the decay of the rust belt cities, expecially his hometown of cleveland.

scott is still working with other mediums that he pursued in college. his smaller sculptures, jewelry and photography are ever evolving and often deal with issues involved in his glass panel series and his installation work.
